Level P1, the CMAS 1-star diver level is the first level of diver defined by the World Confederation of Underwater Activities (CMAS). It allows for supervised dives without decompression stops up to a maximum depth of 20 meters.
A proper course is what makes diving safe and enjoyable, and that is exactly what this training gives you.
Practical information
- Who it is for
- You are new to diving and want your first certification.
- Entry requirements
- From 14 years old (parental consent for minors) and able to swim 200 m.
- What you will be able to do
- Dive down to 20 m with a dive leader, anywhere in the world.
- Duration
- 4 days · 6 dives + theory
- Who it is for
- You are P1 and want to go deeper.
- Entry requirements
- From 15 years old (parental consent for minors), P1 certification, 20 logged dives and the underwater navigation specialty. Oxygen administration and CPR training recommended.
- What you will be able to do
- Dive down to 30 m, and down to 40 m with the deep diving specialty.
- Duration
- 6 days · 12 dives + theory
- Who it is for
- You are an experienced P2 diver aiming high.
- Entry requirements
- From 18 years old, P2 and rescue diver certifications, 50 logged dives including reduced visibility, oxygen administration and CPR training, marine biology course.
- What you will be able to do
- Dive down to 56 m.

- 12 days · 18 dives + theory

The first-level training extends over a period of four days, including theoretical sessions and six practical dives. At the end of the program, an exam evaluates your skills, thus issuing a certificate recognized in 120 countries around the globe
